Hanoi (VNA) – Seven Vietnamese the universities were listed in the Impact Rankings 2022 published by the Times Higher Education (THE) on April 28.
In 2020, only two Vietnamese educational institutions made the list and the figure doubled last year.
Among them, Vietnam National University-Hanoi (VNU-Hanoi), Ton Duc Thang University and Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) are in the group of 601 to 800 while Phenikaa University is part of 801 to 1000.
The three new institutions on this year’s list are Duy Tan University and National University of Economics (601-800) and FPT University (801-1000).
All universities received high rankings for their achievements related to the eighth Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) – economic growth and decent work for all. Among these, HUST got the highest position with 70.3 points.
Only UNV-Hanoi achieved a high standard rankings for the fourth SDG – quality education with 63.1 points.
This is the fourth year THE Impact Rankings has released the ranking following the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which call for global action to build a peaceful, just and prosperous society.
