The latest EU survey of public opinion in Ireland, the Eurobarometer, reveals that a significant majority of Irish people (71%) think things are going in the right direction, up from 64% in 2021. This result contrasts sharply with the average EU where only 36% think they are going in the right direction.

Overall, the majority (63%) of Irish citizens think the Irish economy is doing well and are the most optimistic nation about the future of the EU.
