The meeting, held in person and online, was hosted by the Lebanese Institute Al-Ma’arif al-Hikmiya and speeches were given by Iranian Cultural Attaché in Lebanon, Abbas Khameyar, Bureau member Hasan Qablan policy of the Amal movement. , Jihad Saad, director of the Lebanese International Collection and Rima Fakhri, member of the Hezbollah political bureau.

Khameyar in his opening remarks said that Imam Musa Sadr is one of the most important, successful and influential role models in contemporary history. He was the founder of the Islamic resistance, which has become a national heritage, a heritage which has kept the memory of the martyrs of independence alive.

He added: Imam Musa Sadr was a figure very able to distinguish friend from foe and acted unprecedentedly to create national unity. Its main task has always been to fight against the brutal Zionist regime. He was the creator of the slogan “Israel is absolute evil”.

Khameyar said: Imam Musa Sadr, with the establishment of the Supreme Islamic Assembly of Lebanese Shiites and the activation of the option of resistance against occupation in southern Lebanon and throughout the region, has rushed to the aid of the oppressed and showed the way to fight for human principles, justice and law.

He concluded his speech by saying that Imam Musa Sadr’s approach in emphasizing peaceful coexistence and unity among tribes, religions and sects has become one of the important and key dimensions of resistance.

Hassan Qablan, a member of the political bureau of the Lebanese Amal Movement, for his part said that the interest in the aspirations, ideas and paths of Imam Sadr should not be limited to resistance but that leaders should also follow. national, international and institutional orientations. positions taken by Imam Sadr. Social reformers should also follow his writings on social issues and the titles of the oppressed.

He added that Imam Sadr created a resistance that had the depth of civilization and ideology and all of its motivational content was inspired by the Karbala tragedy and the Ashura movement.

Jihad Saad, director of the Lebanese International Document Collection Center, said that

Imam Sadr was the first to write on economics and realized that the use of economics is used as a weapon against Muslims, and this is embodied today in societies and countries of resistance.

The last speaker on the program was Ms. Rima Fakhri, who spoke about the personal traits and characteristics of Imam Sadr and said he had made Lebanon a resilient country.

Emphasizing that Imam Sadr had a unified view on the issue of resistance, she added that Imam Musa Sadr not only paid attention to the military issue, but also took steps to deal with economic and social deprivation. , strengthening the spirit of religiosity in society.

Rima Fakhri added that Imam Sadr also called for efforts to increase the presence of Shiites in official positions, not from a sectarian or religious perspective, but on the basis of individual merits and in the service of Lebanese society.
