Jordan Young named to Conference All-Academic USA team


DALLAS – Old Dominion University football linebacker Jordan Young has been named to Conference USA’s All-Academic squad, C-USA announced Thursday.

A native of Coatesville, Pa., Young has already earned his undergraduate degree in Sports Management with a GPA of 3.63 and will be earning his Masters in Sports Management this semester. A student on the Dean’s List, Young is also a member of the C-USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

On the court, Young leads the Monarchs this season with 93 tackles and is just under the career tackle mark held by Craig wilkins. Young also has 3.5 tackles for a loss, one sack, one interception and fumble recovery. Young had 11 tackles and the interception and recovery of the fumble in Saturday’s 56-34 win over Charlotte.

Twice team captain, Young was the ODU nominee this season for the Wuerffel Trophy.
