City of HCM (VNA) – The Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City, in collaboration with the city’s Vietnam-India Friendship Association, organized a face-to-face meeting June 25.

Consul General Madan Mohan Sethi said the meeting is part of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and India, in the hope of enhancing mutual understanding and consolidate and develop solidarity and friendship among the Indian people. and the people of Vietnam in general and Ho Chi Minh City in particular.

He noted that the potential for bilateral cooperation remains huge, especially in areas of mutual interest such as economy, trade, culture, tourism, education and training.

The diplomat pledged to do his best to link economic and trade cooperation between the companies of the two countries, promote cultural and educational collaboration and organize more people-to-people exchanges to help strengthen the bilateral traditional friendship. .

Vice President of Vietnam-India Friendship Association in HCM City Huynh Cong Hung said that this year the city has organized many activities to mark 50 years of bilateral diplomatic relations, 15 years of their strategic partnership and the six years of global strategic partnership.

On this occasion, India’s AASTA awarded the BRIA 2022 Vietnam Prize to political activists, entrepreneurs and scientists who have made significant contributions to enhancing friendship and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries./.
