What do you think ruins society, human lives, etc.?
Three words. Religion in politics.
The CEO is hoarding billions of dollars that will probably never be close to being spent.
Not very original, but racism.
The company itself.
The rich get richer and are above the law because they pay politicians to pass laws that benefit them. Someone accuses them of a serious crime like rape? Pay them back and they’ll go away. If they refuse to take a plug, pay someone to make it look like suicide.
Consumerism is out of control. Almost £1000 for a phone that doesn’t do much more than a £100 phone. And people pay for it. Why are they paying it? As a status symbol. No more no less. I find it so repulsive and superficial, always trying to get the most expensive of everything. Shoes that cost thousands. Is it because they are more comfortable than cheaper shoes? Surely not. These are heels. It’s the least comfortable thing you can put on your feet! The answer is that it’s because they’re expensive and people want others to know how much they’ve spent on the shoes alone. That’s why Louboutins are so desirable – the red sole gives them to anyone who cares. Then there is planned obsolescence. Don’t get me started on that.
A few quick questions to wrap up: big pharma, propaganda driven “state of fear” politics, animal cruelty, “trickle down” economics, high profits = low pay, prejudice, war , murder, rape, abuse, intolerance, self-service funds, selfishness, housing, starvation, drought, narcissism, mental health support…
Most, if not all, of the problems and threats facing humanity are caused by society itself.
We could solve world hunger if we wanted to.
We could solve homelessness, poverty, drought.
It’s not that we can’t. That’s what we just don’t want.
And that’s why I chose the company.
Thanks for reading.
Social networks. And how big companies avoid paying taxes and only recently are they forced to work to be more sustainable, while the consumer is ashamed of not sorting their waste well enough, because that’s the heart of the problem.
Facts are taken for opinions and vice versa. Science/sensitivity being discarded for emotions/sensitivity.
The gap between the top one percent of the food chain and the rest is getting bigger by the minute AND legislation/taxation IS HELPING that.
Harnessing the environment for financial gain with “Creating jobs here!” being a valid excuse.
Social networks. He poisoned my generation and completely shattered whoever is growing up with it now. Everything is artificial, nothing is authentic and self-esteem is measured in relation to the image that others have of themselves. It will be the downfall of modern society.
Social media, worshiping influencers and idolizing reality TV stars like the Kardashians.
don’t try to be that guy but tiktok. Sure, some of it is funny and creative, but all the other stuff is just messed up. I hope he dies with this generation
The companies that create the most waste and pollution, and our government that allows them to continue to do so.
The total destruction of trust due to lies, lies, manipulation, greed, in all facets of society. There is no longer a single trustworthy sector. We are all being lied to on such an epic scale that we have to question everything.
People who are awakened, the indoctrination of young school children in a particular program. people trying to destroy history and replace it. People who use the race card against people they just don’t agree with.
the Russian government. no further explanation is necessary.
Beauty standards. At this point, 10-year-olds are trying to look like the fking Kardashians. It does not look like-
Lack of empathy…it’s a ME ME ME culture these days, what happened to the US?
Lack of interest in the workings of the human mind. We are driven and driven by primitive instincts that help us survive in some ways, but are out of control in many ways, causing greed, anger and anxiety. It seems that few people take the time to understand how the mind works and break free from unhealthy mental habits.
Everything has a negative label.
Hypocrisy. Some people tweet that capitalism is bad, what are you tweeting about? That new iPhone you bought? What do you have there? A Starbucks coffee?
The number of ignorant people in this world is pushing me to the brink.
Indoctrination replaces education. Young people should learn to question, not say what to think/believe.
“Influencers”, Tik Tok challenges etc.
Small minds bothered by the fear of change and whose vision of success is measured by the misery of others. These people are legion in number, easily manipulated, resistant to facts, and both active and vocal in legislating their hate-filled fantasies. See “Critical Race Theory” and “Don’t Say Gay” for the latest craze.
ninjas. These guys just have to mess EVERYTHING right?
Selfishness and greed. We could accomplish so much as a species if we helped each other or didn’t fight over the simplest things.
I ruin society. In fact, we all do this if we just type on a keyboard that “corporations ruin society”, “social media ruins society”, “conservatism ruins society”, etc. If we don’t all get off our ass and, at a minimum, vote (this gives the RIGHT to complain about the results even if the vote seems useless), demonstrate, boycott, complain to politicians at every opportunity, write letters making likewise, standing up to those who deny climate change while lining their pockets, in short, confronting and engaging those responsible as it seems the human race has run out of time for “polite discussion” in a world deliberately being destroyed by the humans.
The news media, especially the conservative media which traffics in fear, propaganda and outright lies
The company is governed by the statute.
It’s my freshman year in college, and until now, I had no idea how much people cared about fame and/or popularity. It seems that just because you wear the most expensive clothes or shoes, or are good at sports, you are automatically granted a higher status than most people.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned about status, it’s that it has nothing to do with enjoying life. I’m not popular AT ALL. But my friends and I are doing just fine. I love my friends, even if we’re not popular.
Just because we’re not famous, or because we’re maybe a little weird, or because we’re not good at sports, doesn’t mean we’re bad people. Status ruins friendships and relationships. All I’m saying is if you’re popular at school, good for you. Don’t become arrogant and selfish. And for those who aren’t, you don’t need high status to live a happy life.
Thanks for reading, and damn society.
Republicans and Fentanyl
The idea of work. I’m not a snowflake and I believe you should earn what you get. But we all only have one life on this planet. It really is such a gift when you think about it. Even if you believe in an afterlife or past lives, you won’t remember them, so you, as you are, will never come back. And we waste so much of our lives being miserable in jobs we hate. I’m so tired of wishing my life away; wishing the day was over, wishing it was the weekend, wishing it was time to go on vacation. I would like to be somewhere else. It is shameful. Even if you love your job or own your own business, there is a part of the job that is tedious and you may be neglecting your children or your marriage is failing due to money issues, trying to stay on top of life. water… I know other systems have failed, but I feel like we really are forced to hate so much of our lives. There’s this fight between people who would read this and say “you should have a better education” and people who say give up education and debt and “be smart and learn a trade” when, really, neither feels like an answer to the whole problem. It affects people who love what they do and who aren’t in debt. Maybe in 200 years they will understand that this is such a horrible time in history to live. They will find a better way. But right now, we’re all stuck in this money/work system that robs us of so much of our time. If you’re not someone with an innate talent, finding something to do with your life to earn money and not wanting to hate every minute of it is a challenge of a lifetime.
People who are easily offended!
