NYU Abu Dhabi’s Division of Social Sciences (NYUAD) is looking for new faculty to lead innovative research and train the next generation of global leaders.

You are invited to apply for a tenure-track Assistant / Associate Professor position in a new undergraduate program, BA in Business, Organizations and Society. The program is interdisciplinary and focuses on the role and impact of business within society. Established on liberal arts principles, the program integrates business theory and application, and prepares students to take on roles in business and to effectively and comprehensively examine the implications of business decisions for society from multiple perspectives. (i.e. social, political, economic and cultural).

The program seeks candidates whose research and teaching is rooted in management, organizational studies, or a related field. Applicants should provide a strong scholarship record and evidence of their potential to develop and conduct high quality research of national and international significance. Applicants must demonstrate exceptional experience for their career stage, both in research and teaching. The successful candidate will have to develop and maintain a cutting-edge, innovative and highly visible research program; participate in student counseling and mentoring; teach graduate and / or undergraduate courses in the areas of management, entrepreneurship, social impact and business analysis; or develop new courses in their area of ​​expertise, if applicable.

The interdisciplinary makeup and expertise within the Social Sciences Division, as well as the Business, Organizations and Society program, will be used to expand research activities on how businesses influence and are influenced by societies, systems policies and the economies in which they operate. . There are many opportunities for collaboration within NYUAD, which is already home to a number of interdisciplinary research centers and laboratories, including the Center for Behavioral Institutional Design (C-BID), the Center for Interacting Urban Networks (CITIES) and the Social Science Experimental Lab (SSEL).

This position requires a doctorate. in management, sociology, psychology, social psychology, economics or a related field, and a specialization in management, organizations or a related field.

We are looking for individuals who have a strong background in teaching, mentoring and scholarship, and who have the ability to develop and lead high quality teaching and research with particular attention to businesses, organizations and to the society.
