A presentation on the need for business collaboration will be given next week.
The free program is offered by the School of Business and Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
The annual business and society conference will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Friday, October 28 in the Alumni Hall of the Dreyfus University Center, 1015 Reserve St., Stevens Point. A virtual option is also available for those registering before noon on October 27.
The speaker is Liz Nilsen, associate director of the Agile Strategy Lab at the University of North Alabama and director of operations for the Strategic Doing Institute. Nilsen is also co-author of the award-winning 2019 book, “Strategic Doing: Ten Skills for Agile Leadership”.
According to Nilsen, purposeful collaboration and innovation are the keys to success in today’s global economy.
“Networks can be made up of different businesses and community partners with a common goal or different units within the same organization,” she said. “The ‘Strategic Doing’ framework is ideal for tackling complex interconnected problems.”
Registration is required for this free event at https://uwspbusinessevent.eventbrite.com. The first 100 in-person attendees to register will receive a free copy of Nilsen’s book. A continental breakfast will also be served.
