12 Vietnamese universities listed in the 2021 Asian QS ranking | Society

Hanoi (VNA) – Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), a well-known UK-based education organization, announced that 12 Vietnamese schools were included in the Global Top 675 Universities in QS Asia University Rankings (AUR) 2022.

Thirty-eight universities are participating in the ranking for the first time. The ranking lists 1,011 universities from 80 countries and territories.

Ton Duc Thang University was ranked 142nd while National University of Vietnam, Hanoi (VNU Hanoi) 147th, National University of Vietnam Ho Chi Minh (VNU Ho Chi Minh City) 179th, Duy Tan University 210th, Hanoi University of Science and Technology in 281. -290, Can Tho University and Da Nang University in the 501-550 group, National University of Education and Hanoi University of Economics Ho Chi Minh- City in the 551-600 group and Ho Chi Minh City Industrial University in the 601 -650 group.

Universities are ranked based on eleven indicators, including academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty-to-student ratio, international research networks, PhD staff, citations by article, and articles by faculty, the ratio of international professors, the ratio of international students, the ratio of incoming and outgoing students, rate of exchange students. This year, QS analyzed 14.7 million scientific publications and 96 million citations to produce the data used for rankings.

Singapore continues to maintain its leadership position with two universities ranking first and third in the list. Malaysia has five educational institutions in the top 50. Thailand has 23 named establishments on the list while the Philippines has 15 and Indonesia 34./.
